About 70% of women use tampons. The average woman is blessed with about 450 periods in her lifetime. The average person uses about 20 tampons per cycle, making a total of 9,000 tampons!

An advantage of the Beppy tampon is that you can wear them for up to 8 hours, so that’s 3 tampons in a day. Whereas a normal tampon is best changed every four hours! So that’s 6 tampons in a day.

Beppy tampons are soft and flexible. You wear them internally during your period. These tampons offer up to 8 hours of invisible protection. They are invisible because the Beppy tampon has no string. We have 2 different versions of this tampon, the Beppy Wet and the Beppy Dry. The Wet version is moistened with a lactagel. This helps to insert the tampon easily. Also, the lactagel helps maintain natural acidity and provides a healthy environment for your vagina.

Beppy tampons take about 10 years to break down, they contain no chemicals and they also leave no residue in the vaginal canal. We are currently researching a reusable version so that it has less impact on the environment.

Regular tampons do leave some residue in the vaginal canal. Regular tampons are somewhat dangerous to our bodies, our vaginas and the environment. This is because certain cotton tampons are composed of chemicals, pesticides and other toxins that the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) deems potentially unsafe for the human body. Therefore, always make sure that you buy tampons that are made from Organic Cotton.

Using a menstrual cup is the most environmentally friendly and sustainable option. Also, the Beppy cup does not contain any chemicals. You can reuse the cup and when used carefully, a cup will last for years.

It also saves you a lot of money. After all, you spend a one-time amount on a nice set of 2 Beppy cups. With careful use, the cups will last for years!
