Ways to fold your menstrual cup
U- or C-fold:
This fold is most recommended when inserting your Beppy Cup because it gives you a good grip, making the cup easier to insert.
- Press the cup together so that the two walls of your Beppy cup are against each other.
- Now you can see that the top of the cup has become a straight line.
- Take the cup by the edge and fold it in the middle to create a U or C.
- Hold her with your thumb and forefinger at the top, preferably at the edge of the cup. Holding at the bottom will cause the cup to pop open prematurely.
Punch-down fold:
- Hold the cup upright.
- Put your finger on the edge.
- Bring the rim as low as possible. Press the rim down, against the inside of the cup.
- The opposite wall should remain straight. Gently remove your finger.
- The edge of the cup should be (slightly) pointed to facilitate insertion.
7-fold:
- Press the cup together so that the two walls of your Beppy cup are against each other.
- Now you can see that the top of the cup has become a straight line.
- Take a top corner of the cup and move it to the opposite corner at the bottom so that it looks like a small triangle.
As you learn how best to insert the cup, we suggest that you insert the cup using two fingers (thumb and index finger) as tweezers. Once inside, cup should open in the vaginal canal. However, this depends on the woman’s anatomy, so you may have to help the cup open a little.
Remember that sometimes it can be helpful to gently move and push back the cup to create vacuum. This is to prevent leakage.
Now that you know these three ways to fold your Beppy Cup, we invite you to try them out and discover which fold is most comfortable for you.
